Have you ever experienced the feeling when you've cleaned out your closet or your drawers and have gotten rid of quite a few things and now that area seems so free? So open! So Feng shui!! Well, its high time we decluttered our minds also.

Decluttering the mind allows room for new ideas, new thoughts, and new things to take place and have room to grow inside your mind. It allows space to become a planting ground to sow seeds.
Declutter with ease
“Just like when you go on a detox diet to flush out the toxins from your body and cleanse your internal organs, it’s also helpful to flush out toxins from the mind. Mental and emotional toxins often go unnoticed, but they are just as essential to tidy up given the era of digital overload we live in and the business our lives can become. .”
I will share with you 5 ways to Detox your mind. But first, let's talk about what happens when we are in need of space cleansing. Mental overload, different tasks we are procrastinating on, negative feelings things that don't sit well with us that stay on our minds or in the back of our thoughts. What happens when we don't filter out the noise, it can make us like crazy people. When we go through the day with all this extra in our minds, then we are at a place where feng shui is necessary, decluttering the mind is just like the house. Clear space and get rid of waste!
5 ways to Detox Your Mind
The symbolism of #rebirth and #new #life that is synonymous with the spring season can be applied to the mind. Spring can be the perfect time to #detox your mind, #reenergize your #routine and #mindset, and assess what in your life is working — and what isn’t. With a little guidance, you can make your #routines more efficient and energizing, and let go of any habits, beliefs, or parts of your life that are no longer serving you — to make space for what is new and #fresh.
1. Meditate

“Be mindful, show off your style, and tell your story.”
The average human mind has at least 50,000 thoughts every day, which means you have a new thought about every 1.2 seconds. This is why the human mind is often referred to as the monkey mind. It’s easy for the mind to follow the many random thoughts and get lost and distracted from priorities, so having a way to detox your mind is important to help you keep your focus.
Meditation is an effective way to help calm the monkey's mind. When you practice focusing on one thing at a time during meditation, you become more adept at focusing on one thing at a time in other areas of your life, too —essentially making the unhelpful and distracting thoughts that enter your mind less important, and enhancing your ability to focus on what needs your attention. This is how meditation helps you detox your mind and enhance your ability to focus.
I have updated this section to reflect as a new member of the Art of Living. I am so grateful for the knowledge I am gaining through the art of their SKY Breathing Meditation. It has brought e so much clarity!! Yes, Even after only 1 week I can tell the difference in my body and my thoughts and more importantly, my reactions.
2. Journal or Vent

Sometimes you just need to get out what’s on your mind. Try setting a timer for 30 minutes and doing a brain dump of all of the things you want to complain about or challenges you are struggling with to let it all go and detox your mind from those nagging worries.
If you are journaling, write down anything that’s been bugging you. The people that get under your skin, the details that irritate you, and the problems that are in front of you.
If you are venting to a friend, give them a heads up that you need to get some things off your chest, and ask for their permission. Perhaps they need to unload also and you can take turns. The goal here isn’t necessarily to find solutions — although if you’re open to solutions, you can let them know. The goal is just to let it out.
Unload it all so it doesn’t have to weigh as heavy on your mind. When you’re finished, take a few cleansing breaths and reset your attention on your preference for the new season.
Another little trick I learned, if you aren't into journaling you can still try this technique. It is a mental exercise pretty similar but more on the lines of fiction. You can write out the way your day went, except in this story, when you write about your day, you are the Super Hero or Heroine. In this fictional story, you write all about whatever happened and you write yourself in as the hero that came in and saved the day! Write it as flamboyantly as you like because you will be the victor. This sends a great message to your subconscious that you will be the victorious one at the end of your day.
Before you go to bed, your subconscious does not need to wrangle with the woes of your day. Less it will be stewing also in your subconscious the whole night. Therefore, give your subconscious something delightful in which to marinate. Therefore when you awake in the morning or whenever your mind will have detoxed at least the pits of the day before being washed away in the night.
3. Take a walk

Changing your environment and getting outside for a walk offers a great opportunity to clear your head and refocus. Improved creativity is just one of the benefits of a good walk, 2014 research suggests. Walking also helps promote more freely flowing ideas, so a regular daily walk can help you “reset” when the same thoughts keep popping back up to distract you.
Exercising for 20 or 30 minutes can help improve decision-making and reaction time just before a cognitive task, but walking also offers long-term benefits, too.
For better overall brain health and reduced stress into the bargain, try adding a brisk walk, or any other exercise, to your regular routine.
4. Ask Yourself Some Important Questions: Time to Self-Reflect
Now is the time to take inventory of where you are in life and what you want to focus on and release. Ask yourself:
What’s working in my life, and what’s not?
What could be improved?
Are there any relationships in my life that are not offering me value or joy?
What is one bad habit that I feel ready to break?

Are there any activities, events, routines, or tasks in my life that are not worthy of my time and attention?
What’s the biggest mistake I’ve made this year so far, and what did I learn from it?
What do I really want?
What obstacle(s) is in my way of achieving this goal?
As you go through these questions, consider any roadblocks that are keeping you from being where you want to be. Don’t be afraid to be honest with yourself in identifying where those roadblocks are coming from — whether externally or within your own state of mind.
5. Keep your space tidy
As #procrastinators, the world over know, an intense cleaning session offers the perfect escape from a difficult or unpleasant task. There may be more to this particular approach than simply putting off your work, though.

Consider your reasons for #procrastination. Perhaps you feel stuck or unsure how to get started. You may not realize it, but your surrounding environment can have a big impact on your mental environment. When your brain feels just as cluttered as your desk, you might have trouble concentrating or grasping the ideas you’re searching for. As a result, you end up finding ways to distract yourself from your lack of productivity.
Putting your work area back into order can help you refresh your thinking process, but it could also take up a lot of time — not good when you’re on a tight deadline. Instead, try making a regular effort to maintain the tidiness of your workspace to boost cognitive function and improve workflow.
Allow your mind to be detoxified. Be free, and think clearly, Namaste.
